Internet Crime Complaint Center

IC3’s mission is to serve as a vehicle to receive, develop, and refer criminal complaints regarding
the rapidly expanding arena of cyber crime. The IC3 gives the victims of cyber crime a convenient and
easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of suspected criminal or civil violations.
For law enforcement and regulatory agencies at the federal, state, local and international level, IC3
provides a central referral mechanism for complaints involving Internet related crimes.

Better Business Bureau

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) system in the U.S. extends across the nation; coast-to-coast, and in
Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. Since the founding of the first BBB in 1912, the BBB system has proven
that the majority of marketplace problems can be solved fairly through the use of voluntary self-regulation
and consumer education.

I was left a message on my telephone to call the IRS about a lawsuit pending against me. The number left to call was 253 444- 0418. When I call to find what was going on a person identified themself as officer Edward Burns with the IRS but would not say whether state or federal when I continued to try to get information from him the phone went dead. I called back and it sounded like the same person this time identifying themself as Mark Dawson with the IRS again when pressed for information the phone went dead. I don’t know of any reason the IRS would be contacting me. I suspect a scam or fraud. I called our local police and there is no effort probally in any locality, to either log or follow up anything like these types of suspected scams. How do we protect ourselves from this activity? Isn’t it a felony to impersonate a federal employee? Do you follow up any complaints? Thanks

I was reached by Facebook Lottery in which I was to receive a large amount of money and they are asking for money up front to receive the larger amount! I would like to file a claim against them as I believe that is a scam and needs to be shut down! Please confirm and contact me about this issue.
