Reporting Medicaid Fraud

The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of allegations of fraud and abuse by healthcare
providers against the Alabama Medicaid Agency. The Unit is also responsible for investigating and prosecuting allegations of abuse
and neglect of residents in Medicaid-funded facilities.

Reporting Welfare Fraud

Welfare Fraud Unit is charged with investigating and prosecuting cases of welfare fraud in the State. This charge entails finding people
who have misrepresented their financial circumstances to obtain benefits to which they are not entitled, investigating allegations of
fraud by state employees in violation of their public trust, and prosecuting businesses for illegally trafficking in food stamps and
Electronic Benefit Transfer cards. The Welfare Fraud Unit also prosecutes cases of interstate welfare theft.

The Welfare Fraud Unit was moved from the Department of Human Resources in 1995. Since that time, the cooperative effort between the
Attorney General’s Office and DHR has brought immediate and dramatic results for Alabama taxpayers.

Internet Crime Complaint Center

IC3’s mission is to serve as a vehicle to receive, develop, and refer criminal complaints regarding
the rapidly expanding arena of cyber crime. The IC3 gives the victims of cyber crime a convenient and
easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of suspected criminal or civil violations.
For law enforcement and regulatory agencies at the federal, state, local and international level, IC3
provides a central referral mechanism for complaints involving Internet related crimes.

Better Business Bureau

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) system in the U.S. extends across the nation; coast-to-coast, and in
Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. Since the founding of the first BBB in 1912, the BBB system has proven
that the majority of marketplace problems can be solved fairly through the use of voluntary self-regulation
and consumer education.

I am requesting assistance or information concerning my mortgage company that continue to add fees to my account that has been paid. I am in Chapter 13 and have completed my back payments to them. Once the back payments were paid I am now being forclosed on. I am being accused of being $14,000 behind in payments when every single payment for 2014 was paid and lates fee with check copies from the bank and where checks cleared the bank and was excepted by them. I made a payment in January which was excepted for 2015 but in Februray 2015 I did a Western Union transfer and it was rejected. I tried talking to a Mr. Griffth and the Attorney over the forclosure and I was told there was nothing that could be done and I now own them $14,000. I have gone to my attorney office who sent and email to the mortgage company for a breakdown of what I owe on they have not yet sent anything as of today as far as I know. When I saw there breakdown they said i had been behind since 09/2014. The truth is I sent copies of my checks and check numbers of all the months they said I was behind and still I am being ignored and being treated as if I am a liar when proof after proof after proof has been sent and my attorney has not offered me anykind of resolution at this point except for giving up my home or refiling Chapter 13 which is costing me $1,160. I feel as if perhaps there are other avenues or advocates that can help me get some answers to my questions. I am having to refile all over again in order to keep my home. I am outraged and upset to think I am being put out on the street without being treated like a human being for a debt I don’t owe. I am requesting assistance wherever I can get it. With God’s help I am sure he will send and ANGEL unaware. My mortgage company is ServiSolutions under Alabama Housing Authority in Montgomery, Al. Please let me know if you there is help.
